As a seasoned Minecraft player, you may already be familiar with the Realm Feed: a place where you and other Realm members can post in-game screenshots and talk about what’s happening in the Realm – the good, the bad, and the Nether-y. We love that players can use the Realm Feed to share their Realm experiences, but we think we can do better.
So, we’re thrilled to introduce Realms Stories!
With Realms Stories, you can do everything you did with the Realm Feed, such as post and comment about your adventures and builds. But Realms Stories also comes with other ways to build community in your Realm.
In the olden days (read: yesterday), only the Realm owner knew who had joined the Realm. Now, using the Members tab of Realms Stories, all Realm members can see a list of players in the Realm. They can see each player’s permission level, and even search to find someone specific.
We also added the Timeline, which lets Realm members see when other members of the Realm have been playing. If there’s a new building or tunnel that wasn’t there last time you played, the Timeline will show you who might have made it. You can also use it to find out when other players are usually active, so you can join them next time they play!
You can access Realm Stories in Minecraft Preview/Beta* via the book icon** next to each Realm on the Play screen, and in the Pause Menu. Comment below to let us know what you love, what we can improve, and what you hope to see in the future!
