New Creative Menu Keyboard Shortcut to delete individual items

The Minecraft creative menu has several neat features, such as pressing number keys 1 - 9 while hovering over an item/stack of items to move it to that hotbar slot. However, it would also be cool if we could press backspace or delete while hover over an item/stack of items to clear it from our inventory. That would be particularly useful in situations where we want to clear a lot of our inventory but not ALL of it.

The way it could work is that the game checks if you are hovering over an item in your inventory, and if the backspace key is down, it just clears that slot. For example, if you wanted to clear the first 7 slots of your hotbar, but wanted to keep the last 2, you could simply hold backspace and move your mouse over the first 7 slots and they all magically dissapear as they touch the mouse cursor. I'm very sure many creative mode players would greatly appreciate this feature.
