Decorated Pots Keep Items When Destroyed and Can be Placed by Dispensers

Currently, we only have shulker boxes that can be placed by dispensers and keep items when destroyed, which makes them transportable. If we give decorated pots the same features, it will be better. We can put pots in shulker boxes to store sources of different power levels. This is much more efficient and flexible than simply using shulker boxes. Moreover, it is easier to change the power level of a pot than that of a shulker box, which may be helpful in redstone calculation.

By the way, I did't expect to put a shulker box in a pot! :-)

  Maybe they only keep the items if they’re destroyed by a silk touch pick?

  If so, I think pots won't drop themselves when not applied with silk touch. (I just can't imagine you will get a full pot with a silk touch pick but an empty one otherwise)

  Not so sure about the ability of pots to retain their items, but they should absolutely be dispensable!

  or actual add nice pots for decor and can be used like storage or some little boxes with keys like a little chests
