It would be great to have a "knowledge Book" of some kind, both for newer and more experienced players. It would work similarly to the achievement list or the recipe book. Perhaps a button in the inventory or in the settings that opens a new GUI.
The main functionality is simple, the longer you are around something, the more information you get on it (e.g. entering a new biome will get you basic information about what mobs spawn there, being near a mob for a very long time might tell you spawning conditions, mining enough ores tells you ideal y-level and which biomes you will find more or less of etc)
You could even gain information from books sold by librarians or perhaps to unlock the page about a structure you have to get a book from a chest there.
It could come with 3 new world settings, one to enable/disable, another to decide whether you start with all the notes or unlock them, and finally, whether notes from other worlds carry over or you have to start over.
I believe it would look best if the text was handwritten but still looked like the default text font. Images or diagrams could be drawn in and the more notes you have on that topic, the more detailed the diagram. It makes most sense that the player is filling it out.
A new category of speedrun will be formed, "100% knowledge book".
Finally, it could even be useful to hint at the lore of Minecraft. maybe on the page about a certain structure, it could hint at what it was used for.
