Custom Skins to Transfer from Console to Console Through Microsoft Account

Why is it that PC and mobile Minecraft users get to be able to use custom skins but we console users can't? There's no reason why we console users shouldn't be allowed to upload our own custom skins. Or just to be able to transfer skins from let's say PC to Xbox if I am on the same Microsoft account. What exactly is the issue here? I also remember we used to be able to find free skins in certain packs until, most likely, the past couple years I'm guessing? I hadn't played Minecraft on Xbox for a few years until recent to even notice this issue. I was only playing on PC and realized my custom skin never transferred over when I signed into the SAME account onto Xbox. Why are more people not talking about this? It's not fair to the console users and really should be an easy fix I would feel like?? Anyways, thanks for everyone reading through this!!
