Once upon a time, Mojang did their first biome vote. And one of the ones that lost was the Savannah. And do you know what I said? "DO THIS MOJANG!" So these are some of the cool new things. #1 Termites, termites, termites. Everyone LOOVVEESS termites. So this is what they do. They are 2 pixels big and only chew down trees in light. they search a 10 block radius for wood to chew on. They can be found in termite mounds which spawn in big cone-like clusters around the place. When they eat wood they will drop hollow logs (Better Birch post). The only way to obtane termites is to get termite mounds which you can only mine with silk touch. #2 Olive the ostrich is coming to Minecraft. or rather her species. The ostrich will stick it's head in the ground if hit. they are faster than horses and can be rid with a saddle. There are brown and black variants. if killed they will drop ostrich legs which can be eaten and furnaces into cooked ostrich legs. #3 Baobab trees have brownish orangish bark and the planks are bright red, almost orangish like colour. To grow them you need a 4x4 square of Acasia saplings. The widest they can grow is 8x8 and they can be over 20 blocks high at most. Multiple branches stem out and they all have leaves at the top. They can grow acorns which can be eaten or crafted with an Acasia saplings to make a Baobab sapling which means you don't need the 4x4. #4 packed mud will naturally spawn in patches on the ground of the Savannah.
