Groundhogs

Use/Features

Groundhogs can be used for numerous things, but mainly farming.

They can steal your crops, but only to an extent. You can however, use this to your advantage. If you were to tame a Groundhog (which isn't easy), they could gather crops for you.

While in contact with a Groundhog, they will burrow down (without breaking blocks). They will have a 1/5 chance to pull out a new additional crop to Minecraft. The burrow rate would be restricted to 1 time every 5 minutes.

Taming

You can tame these groundhogs with crops, but they're greedy, resulting in many attempts to tame them. A tamed groundhog will sport a collar, with a little bell.

Restrictions You cannot tame them with the crop(s) they give you.

Spawning

These Groundhogs can be found in their new exclusive burrows. These burrows can be rarely found in biomes such as the Plains, Taiga, and more.

A little side-feature makes them sleep in their borrows during the afternoon, and come out both at night and in the morning.

Easter Egg

The Clock:

Groundhogs are also iconic, also being known from the Bill Murray movie "Groundhog Day"

Now, Imagine a little easter egg where you can give a Groundhog a clock, and they're just playing with the clock arms.

Species/Textures

And finally, I want to introduce some textures. It would be cool to see groundhogs with faint stripes, etc.

I can also add images, if people are interested and want to know more about the Groundhog.
