EXTERNAL SERVERS FOR MINECRAFT BEDROCK CONSOLES

Want you to put external servers in Minecraft BEDROCK for consoles, specifically on PS4/XBOBX/NINTENDO SWITCH. Because those of us on console cannot join external servers, etc. and it is frustrating and sad not to be able to play those servers with your friends. I hope it has support and so the entire Minecraft BEDROCK community can play together

    With how long it's taken Microsoft/Mojang to make any official comment on this topic despite over 2 years of complaints and requests, I can only guess that it has to do with one of 4 things:
    1. Limitations on control, cybersecurity, and user safety of external servers on console (although there are some examples of games allowing community-run servers).
    2. Cash-grab (i.e. forcing users onto realms)
    3. Maintaining "Child-Friendly" ratings
    4. "Console Restrictions", which is the official claim/excuse of mojang, although this is garbage considering xbox one, xbox series, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch are all capable of connecting to dedicated servers with some relatively easy workarounds, and all have access to "official" community servers where most of the above reasons are also a risk.

    This is all made even more frustrating considering dedicated servers hosted on your local network work fine, even with PC and other console players connecting to it from external networks and, again, expose the same risks.

    It's certainly time for Mojang to stop ignoring the outcry and either make it an official function, or make a public comment explaining exactly why they won't bring this function to light. There's been an uncountable number of listings in this feedback forum asking for this exact function.

    If it's a reasonable excuse, or the fault of someone else, let the community know and watch the outpour of complaints towards the source of the problem.

    There are ways to get different servers by changing your ip address and such settings.
