When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Copper hoppers

Imagine having a hopper (or an item cable even though I think this is less probable to happen), made out of copper: First of all, it could be faster than the classic hopper speed, which is very slow, but the copper one would get slower according to the oxidation level, so brand new ones would be faster than the iron version, which would be great for redstone contraptions in general, but the most oxidized it can get, would be even slower than the iron version, being excellent for making long-timers. Copper hoppers could also be waxed, so it doesn't ruin the machinery with the non-oxidized ones and gives more utility to the beloved bees. This could be added to Java and Bedrock because this would improve both of them.

    But copper is easier to access than iron. Wouldn't it make more sense if copper hoppers were slower?

    It just make iron hopper useless, which is harder to make than copper hopper.

    I Feel like its a good idea but it would have to have some big downside like being made out of copper blocks instead of ingots. or maybe just being slower in general than regular hoppers
