I am Cross Playing MC with my 6-Year-old Daughter.
At this age she is starting to read, and MC is perfect for this, simple words for her to practice reading. Basic Math, very awesome. It is one of the very few child friendly games out there that has a really brilliant balance, “cognitive progression” something for me to do with her, the list goes on.
She is on a switch and I’m on PC.
I am looking for a vanilla game experience with some options such as:
the spawning of normal mobs on/off
the spawning of harmful mobs on/off (Peaceful On/Off)
hunger and Health behave normally.
She is not fast enough to kill the mobs; she does not really like them
but I would like the option to turn them on or off so that she can see and experience them in a way where they are peaceful.
And I want Health and Hunger to behave in accordance with the game modes, "easy normal hard etc."
A possible quick fix here would be to add a simple command to say Harmful Mobs Ignore Player.
This way she could hit the bad mobs, get their loot and not be attacked herself, It gets her used to the buttons and the momentum of defending herself.
With an option like that, I can basically set up a standard normal game, and just flip the “bad mobs ignore player”.
And then she would have to learn to deal with hunger and health, Growing foods would have a purpose, whereas currently grown foods are useless.
