Hydration could bring a new challenge for Minecraft 1.21. This is because your hydration needs to be up at all times, and if it is up fully, you cannot drink water or milk or potions, bringing a new challenge. Hydration will go down or up depending on where you are or what you do. For example, eating chicken or potatoes will lower your hydration by one point, while eating melons will raise your hydration by one and a half points, and you can't eat melons when your hydration is full. Different biomes and dimensions effect your hydration. Like in a plains, it depletes normally, in a desert or the nether, it depletes 35% faster, and in snowy biomes or the end, it depletes 15% slower. Three types of water will be added, Dirty, Salt and Clean. The dirty or salt water can be purified by a furnace or brewing stand with quartz or the water purifier. Dirty water is taken from any non-water biome or swamps, Salt water is taken from oceans and Clean water is from rivers or cauldrons filled with rain or any purified water.
With the hydration, there should be thirst, a new effect that is similar to hunger, but it's thirst! Peaceful is not effected by this, instead, you keep your hydration full in peaceful. Lastly, there should be a new drowned mob, similar to a husk that can inflict thirst to you. This would be a good addition, please consider this.
