It's a rather odd and unbalanced solution for casual players. While it's fun, I clearly won't have the desire to travel far from home to find a biome with a village of inhabitants. I propose to make a way for residents to re-skill to another book with a special pulpit.
As someone who liked to improve the village I don't respect the way they redesigned the tradeskill system at all. They should have given enchanted books to wanderers or something.....
