Hello team,
Recently, you added decorated pots to Minecraft with the ability to fill them with a stack of items. It was a great idea, but considering the direction the upcoming update is taking, especially with the crafter (thank you so much), it seems like an update oriented towards Redstone.
For this reason, I think that for the sake of logic, compactness, and performance improvement, decorated pots should automatically absorb items from the container above them without causing them to fall into the container below.
WHY?
-
The logical part: The pot has a hole in its design at the top, so it makes sense that items should either fall into it or be absorbed without falling below, as it's already full.
-
The compact part: This would make item sorting much simpler and more compact.
-
Optimization and performance improvement: Currently, hoppers are a significant source of lag, so reducing their use in solo and server machines would be excellent news.
PS: It is possible to modify my proposal by making only the items that pass over the pots fall into them, without having the pots absorb them from other containers.
