Template Slots for Crafter

Can we make template slots for the Crafter like in Factorio? Middle click an item to a slot to reserve this slot for a particular item. This way we don't have to wrestle with the order of items flowing into it (as we do with brewing stations) - pretty please?!

The way it would work for crafting a bow is as follows:
* You open the Crafter GUI
* You pick the first item required for a recipe, lets say string, you hover the item over the slots where they should go to make a bow and you either middle click them on the slot or press a special key, the slot now becomes blue with the item inside, indicating this slot is reserved for this item
* You do this for the sticks as well
* Now you can have two chests, one filled with sticks, one with string, feed it into the crafter and you don't have to worry about feed order etc etc. Makes the whole operation so much simpler.
