More accessible 1.21 redstone crafter system - The crafting pattern.

The upcoming 1.21 crafter seems like a complicated system for more complex crafting recipes, so I'd suggest a system more accessible to everyone, without hopper wizardry.

This idea may sound similar to things certain mods have done, but it is a great solution to automatic crafters being hard to grasp, especially for someone not experienced in redstone..

Nonetheless, it would consist of a new item; The crafting pattern. 
A new sort of paper sheet or other material, that can have a recipe stored into it via a loom or other station. Like a template of sorts.
This would give the crafter a specific set of items to accept and place in the correct position, and being ready to craft as long as its fed the correct resources.

This system would be easy to comprehend, and easy to set up. So that anyone can understand it, without needing outside help! Because as what were shown at Minecraft LIVE, it seems impossible to understand without prior knowledge.
