Palisade wall/block

A spiked wall that can be made using wood logs of any type and using an axe or other tool to sharpen the tip.  What it can do is when a mob or player touches the tip of the palisade they take damage.  Uses for the palisade is they can be used to make traps or by defending your base from spiders and it looks cool.  It also would be cool if loses its sharpness after killing or damaging mobs and would have to be resharpened. Every time you resharpen a palisade the palisade loses durability.  Thanks for your time.
