Usage: These are books that are found in every villager variation. Clicking the book on a jobless villager, changes them to that type. A jungle villager tome will turn them into a jungle villager. The book gets consumed in the process.
Obtaining:
- At least one random tome type is guaranteed to be found in a pillager tower.
- They are found commonly in woodland mansions, in all variations.
- Finally for superflat and skyblock, the wandering trader rarely sells each variation of tomes, as one of their trades, for 20 emeralds. The trade maxes out at 1. It's still tedious RNG, but that's better than no access.
Conclusion: These tomes add more flexibility and make the process of getting mending less tedious. These tomes also give unique useful loot to woodland mansions, pillager towers, and to the wandering trader.
It also helps explain that jungle and swamp villagers exist, as the only current hints they have are maps to jungle temples and swamp huts, and zombie villagers. Currently getting mending is un-intuitive for new players.
This also allows skyblock players and superflat players get access to the villager types that they want. If they go through these changes it would ruin their old worlds, which goes against a minecraft core principle.
It can even teach a lesson about the power of reading books from other cultures and promotes multiculturism.
