As the final mob has been revealed for the 2023 mob vote I can't help but think about all the losing mobs of the past. Around this time of year the entire community is fighting for their mob to win. When the votes are finally tallied, over the half of the community is upset with the winner. This is for a few reason:
- All three mobs are great ideas.
- Influences have a surprising amount of influence over their fanbases' choices.
- One of the mobs is considered boring or useless and thus never gets a fair chance.
- The complete lack of acknowledgement of the losing mobs after the vote has concluded.
I personally think all the mobs should have fair chances at being added. As someone who voted for the Glare and has friends who were enamored by the moobloom, copper golem, tuff golem and newly announced penguin, scrapping these mobs seems like not only a waste of good ideas but a detriment to keeping the fanbase happy and engaged. Even if only a few were to be brought back, I'm sure the community would be ecstatic to see losing mobs join the game, even if they're late to the party.
How they should be added, or how a mob focused update would be handled, is something I can't say much on as I'm not a mod or game developer. Perhaps splitting the team up into groups for individual mobs would work?
I believe I speak for a good and vast majority of the community when I ask for the losing mobs to be given another chance in one way or another.
Thank you for reading my request.
