A means to make Phantoms less frustrating.

Phantoms have the potential to be far less of a nuisance and can even contribute to night ambience with a the following changes: Phantoms spawn naturally regardless of Player insomnia, but only attack players that haven't slept. Instead of simply burning up, Phantoms will seek out dark areas to sleep during the day, much like bats. This will mean that certain areas like plains or meadows have less phantoms compared to more shade heavy biomes, especially with the not quite so recent changes to light levels and how mob spawning interacts with them. Phantoms will naturally flock together allowing for the potential of large groups amassing and projecting their dread in the night sky with their large shadows and ghostly shrieks.

    I like most of this idea, but I think they would need to spawn in the sky and move to shade in the sun or be burnt like zombies; otherwise you could farm them too easily.
