Linking two places at once

I think Minecraft is on a roll, especially with its new updates, but I think maybe Minecraft could add another command. There is this mod to Minecraft that links a portal to another part of the world, and I thought it could be perfect for a Minecraft feature. If we could create portals using commands, we would be able to add working illusions, and get to places a lot faster. We could also create levels of the backrooms without mods. Please let this be a feature!
