Ray-tracing and shaders have been in the works for Bedrock (console, and mobile) for some time, recently making it “available” for Xbox and android. However, you can’t enable the ray-traced option in the video category. The only way to make “Deferred Technical Preview” selectable is by downloading a PBR compatible resource pack, but yet absolutely NO packs are compatible. This leaves the only option (for console at least) to jump through hoops and suspicious apps and websites to download anything. After waiting all this time for console to receive basic shaders just to be tricked with no options? It feels more like a slap to the face rather than a true feature! Mojang, if you take anything from this, releases even a single PBR resource pack to allow console and mobile players try the beta shaders and pipelines.
