How is it possible that a game, which already has alchemy or weapon enchantments, does not have a sorcery system.
Leaving mana aside, you could make scrolls that invoke powers, such as creatures or attacks against enemies, also staffs, that allow the development of spells based on an interface that allows you to select the element or spell to use and a book or guide containing these spells.
An elemental system where you are given a random element when creating the world and that obviously forces you to make tools, weapons or armor related to your element.
New Materials; crystals, special wood, books, a structure, even a new boss, and a villager with the profession of magician, would make the issue much more complex than it seems.
It is not possible that a game like MINECRAFT that has so many fantasy mechanics, such as alchemy, the undead (skeletons), and even a dragon, does not have something as essential as magic itself.
