Make villagers helpful!

I want villagers to be the reward for my hard work and make them follow me to get more resources, explore, go to war, or just expand my village. Being a king and a builder and a labor worker is very tiring. I want more game progression in my village and to go to war with or against my friends in the multiplayer world. I want my village to be more lively. It sounds like Minecraft legends but this time I want villagers to go to war with me. It will help players connect with the village that they have protected and feel way more rewarded than villagers simply throwing fireworks after the player has done all the hard work without an army.
