With the new proposed changes to librarian villagers, a player will have to find/make a village in every biome villagers have variants in. In two of these biomes (jungle, swamp) villagers cannot spawn naturaly. The only way to get a swamp/jungle villager is to wait for a zombie villager to spawn and cure it or to breed two villagers in that biome, a task that could be tedious and very unfun to many players as some players either play in peaceful mode or live thousands of blocks away from certain biomes.
Sniffers, the last winner of the mob vote, were just added to minecraft. Many players feel they are useless as they only give players 2 new plants; the Torchflower and Pitcher Plant.
I propose that the way Sniffers find ancient plants would be changed. Sniffers would now have a seperate loot table for each biome they are in (The Torchflower could be found in the plains biome, Pitcher Plant in the Jungle). When an ancient plant, found in a biome vilagers have a variant in, is placed near a villager that villager will sell trades unique to the biome the ancient plant was found in.
For example, a villager near a Pitcher Plant will trade books unique to the jungle villager.
These changes would give the players more incentive to explore, a new use to the sniffer, and still nerf villager trading.
Thanks for reading this all :)
(Sniffers could find multiple ancient plants in each biome or just one)
