Firstly, making villagers have different trades in each biome is making villagers a bigger pain. People already don’t like villagers due to transporting. Making villagers spawn around the world just adds to this, people will need to spend more time going to each biome and bringing villagers to breed in the jungle and swamp. Of course, people could set up different trading halls in each biome to mostly avoid transportation, but it would mean having to go across the map every time you need books. Most people have a singular trading hall, so again making people transport these villagers is just going to be a bigger pain then now. Of course this issue could be lessened by making minecarts, actually good. But that’s its own thing.
My other issue with the villager changes is reducing the level of the master books. All it means is we have to purchase 4 books instead of 1 to get top level. It’s so pointless, just make it cost more emeralds. Especially when having to combine books means having to deal with a higher enchant weight. Why is there an enchant cap, it’s so annoying.
Lastly, curing villagers should still get better with each cure. It doesn’t have to be that you get it all the way down to 1 emerald like now, but having to worry about getting the book you want and having that villager not be pricey would just further add to the tedious nature of this. So you should be able to keep curing villagers till they a price of like 5 emeralds or something.
