In honor of Kanzi, the first ape to play Minecraft, I'd like to see bonobo apes added to the game. They could possibly be a friendly mob or even a villager alternative that lives in jungle biomes.
They would likely live in large groups that wonder through the trees and climb them to avoid hostile mobs at night.
I'm not sure what specifically they could offer the player, but they could potentially have a bartering system similar to piglins, offering basic resources for fruit.
Putting how wonderful bonobos are aside, the jungle biome needs a little love and more reason to brave the twisting underbrush.
The pets are nice, but you typically get one or two and that's that.
The unique jungle resorces are wonderful, but they can all be grown at home without the long trek back and forth.
The jungle temple is fun to explore, but you can only do it once.
Having a friendly mob that offers special interaction, but never stays in the same place for very long, offers an enjoyable incentive to players to make time and explore one of the older biomes again.
