Minecarts are criminally underrated, and I feel like there should be a dungeon underground which is designed around them.
This isn't an Abandoned Mineshaft, as those are ruins. These structures would be large networks of minecart tracks. There would be many rooms, and the structure would be quite tall. It would only spawn at the lowest depths of the world.
The structure has loot and mobs to fight, but its main purpose is to teach players about advanced Redstone tech.
You traverse the dungeon on Minecart. You can come across target blocks which would wirelessly trigger a Sculk sensor chain to change the direction of the tracks. (This would be the main 'Puzzle' of the dungeon).
There could be treasure rooms filled with items you can get to by riding down the correct combination of tracks. The tracks should operate wirelessly and make good use of target blocks and Sculk Sensor resonance.
Players would need to hit the target block whilst riding in minecarts to get around the dungeon.
The dungeon would be similar in size to an ocean monument and would house many treasure rooms that are tricky to get to normally, reinforcing the use of minecarts.
This would be both a fun experience for players and would also teach players about the following mechanics of the game:
- Minecart Mechanics
- Target Blocks (Target Practice)
- Sculk Sensor Resonance
- Minecart Rail Mechanics
