Rideable Spiders

Similar to the skeleton jockey :^) You can tame and mount a (non-cave) spider! To tame it, it works similarly to the wolves and cats, where you have to keep feeding it a certain food until it is tamed. The food in this case can be raw chicken (considering how big the spiders are), or bugs can be added to the game. Spiders can only be tamed during the day when they are docile. Once tamed, they will not attack the player, and they won't attack other monsters as a sort of drawback compared to other tamed animals.
