Suggestion: Add 4 buttons on the side of the chest interface for some simple bulk actions:
Fill Stacks (1 arrow up): Fill all incomplete stacks in the chest as much as possible with items from the inventory. So if the chest has 5 iron in it and the player has 5 iron in inv the button will move all iron to the chest. But if the chest has no iron at all the players iron will not be touched, and if the chest has 63 iron then only 1 iron will be put away. No additional slots become occupied when you use this button, only existing slots get filled.
Store All (2 arrows up): Put everything into the chest if possible. This is the same as shift clicking every item in the inv into the chest.
Replenish Stacks (1 arrow down): Same as fill stacks but into the player inv.
Take All (2 arrows down): Same as Store All but into player inv.
These buttons would display to the side of the chest GUI and show a description of their action when hovered.
Use Cases:
Coming back from a mining trip, you can use the fill stacks button to put away all the ores youve collected into the ores chest without touching the rest of your items with just one click
When building a large structure with any block (ex. cobble) you can rclick drag a stack of cobble in your inventory to fill some amount of slots with 1 cobble each, then Replenish Stacks on a chest filled with cobblestone to quickly take that many stacks of blocks.
When looting chests in a structure you can quickly take everything with the press of one button.
