The current graphics for combat in Minecraft are good to play with, but it kind of looks boring. What I would propose is that the combat works the same, but the movement by the players fighting could look different. This might affect FPS, so maybe it could be toggle-able, and it would just look less boring. Currently when players hold a sword, their skin takes a slight stance, putting one leg forth, the other back, the sword arm forth, the offhand back, but it does not seem that great. Bedrock used to make it so if you swing your weapon while sprinting you would hold both hands out looking like someone mid-fight, but I believe it was removed. Other weapons are not any better, and probably worse. Also, all attacks are the same and swing the same way. It would be better than great of Mojang would add some more variety of attacks (chosen/generated randomly) like different swings, a few fancy spins, and a stab or two for melee combat. I mean, they did that for Minecraft Dungeons so we know they are capable of it. There is a combat update coming out (at least one of those experimental snapshots) so this would be a great revamp of graphics (actual gameplay not affected) to fit the theme. I see no reason why not. I mean, if the reason is it is not worth the time and resources then what are these things I am writing for? The best games are games where the developers put the interests of the users in mind, and I think Minecraft has been doing that, so again, why not?
