I feel like there should be a reason that when you obtain the dragon egg, the achievement you get is called "The Next Generation". I've seen a lot of other ideas for tamable dragons, so it wouldn't be anything super OP. It would involve some very difficult process to incubate/hatch. It starts off as a baby dragon after hatching, and you need to feed it lots of roast beef/steak/other meat or food for it to be tamed and grow up faster. Otherwise it eventually grows up and flies away. If you do tame it, you can ride it and fly it around with a saddle. So as not to be really powerful, it simply can shoot a fire charge our of it's mouth like ghasts, with a recharge bar so you can't send out a steady stream. It would have 20 or 30 hearts, but its main purpose would be a cool mode of travel and also like a trophy. In case your dragon dies or is lost, the dragon egg will respawn when the ender dragon is killed and the dragon egg has been hatched or destroyed.
