Redstone compact schemas

Redstone idea exists in the game too long and it is not developed enough yet. To build some mechanisms users should some how to hide entire rooms and halls with redstone schemas only.

Lets make basic schemas like repeater was made, e.g OR logic element, AND, XOR, counter... Redstone wires to use it on walls.

Actually, why this synthetic problem of signal transmission in up direction exists at all?

Minecraft engineer-users needs more useful and compact stuff then repeater or red-torches schemas to create really great structures. And developers, in future, can improve generated structures making them more tomb raider like or mysterious with traps, hidden rooms and passages with piston doors or passages with sliding floor\ceiling.

It can be useful for educational purposes to teach the basics of electronics also.
