Redstone Motor

I wish we had a craftable motor that we could stick into a device that we build. For example if I make a pirate ship this motor is a independent crafted item that I can stick into my pirate ship and make it actually float around on the ocean. I know we can create self-powered devices now using slime blocks but it's extremely difficult and technically challenging to put one of those devices into an actual boat or ferry. A motor that you could attach several blocks to that would move several blocks as one unit would allow us to build a world that has actual movement in it. Instead of my pirate ship remaining anchored in the same spot in the ocean forever and ever I could build and craft one of these motors that would allow the pirate ship to actually sail the seas. This block could also be used to create elevators, and caravans of villagers on roads to give the entire world more realism.
