In Java edition, pressing F3 shows a local difficulty menu. The higher the number, the more difficult. The difficulty is affected by two things:
1. how long chunk has been loaded
2. how many people around the chunks
Finding Mobs with armor seems rare, even on hard difficulty, and I think local difficulty should be buffed.
How?
1. Make the local difficulty increase faster
2. Make local difficulty do more than just rare mobs
3. Once the local difficulty reaches past 3 - 3.3, mobs should be able to have more developed abilities -- such as more mobGriefing (torches,blocks,trapdoors)
Why?
1. Once you get diamond armor, things become pretty easy. It'd be at least a little more entertaining and difficult to make mobs with some armor/weapons more common.
2. Zombies are too weak. If local difficulty would make zombies faster or had armor/weapons, zombies would be a little bit more of a real challenge (sort of)
3. Farms and afking/other: The longer the chunks are loaded, the more uncommon and deadly mobs spawn. This could be an incentive to prevent people from afking overnight in houses and such, or to increase their base security.
Overall, Making The local difficulty more recognizable would be a great idea because it could increase the difficulty past hard, add new mob abilities, make gameplay past the ender dragon / diamond armor more challenging, and encourage players to increase base security or stop afking overnight.
