Colored text

Now in minecraft java edition you cannot write colored text in the Notebook or in the chat.
As for me, it’s better to give the opportunity to write in colored text in a notebook or in a chat.
How to do it?
There is one character "§" but it is only available for bedrock edition , so why not make it possible to use this character in Java edition?
It would not interfere with playing, but on the contrary, it would only improve the gaming process.
