Observers detect beacons turning off/on

Observers should be able to detect beacons/the beam turning off and on. For example when the Beacon beam gets blocked an observer placed on the beacon gets a redstone signal when the beam turns off. The ability to be able to detect if there is something above the beacon can be used in many farms and contraptions. I first thought of this when was trying to make a flying machine detector and couldn’t use daylight sensors since they do not detect blocks above at night and since a beacon beam would turn off if one flew over I thought this was a fix to all my problems. But to my disappointment I can not use redstone to detect if the beam is off or not. So this is way I suggest this but this feature would make so many for new possibilities for things such as farms weather it be a tree farm or a cobblestone generator I feel this could create and improve many things. I hope this gets added to both Java and Bedrock one day.
