help for crafting if you make a mistake

I have an idea when in the settings menu you can find an option thats makes it so when you craft something  it does not move slots if it lets you make more items, like sticks can make tools so if you craft sticks it does not move slots so you can make more sticks itstead of whatever would have replaced it. it make me mad when I craft bonemeal then try to make more bonemeal but where I clicked was replaced with white dye and I end up making a stalk of white dye and not bone meal but if you moved you cursor of the item you crafted it will go back to normal.
