New mob ally, scarecrow

A mob, which like the snow golem is built into the world.  Two bales of wheat and a special pumpkin, crafting with a pumpkin and soul sand ( or new materials, such as a soul crystal, heart of the warden...). This mob would be harmless, but it would scare away all mobs, including the pesky endermen (makes them escape before they steal or place a block), except those mob that eat grain, and would consequently attack and kill it. When killed drop some wheat and a simple pumpkin. The rain kills them there, below it they slowly lose life. Can be fixed with grain.
