Like many people who regularly play Minecraft Bedrock edition, I have purchased skin-packs and add-ons through the Minecraft Market place. I recently noticed however, that I cannot switch the category in which I saved them from “device” to “Microsoft account”
Here’s my problem:
Years ago during Minecon 2017, I saw that they had an exclusive “minecon cape” skin bundle you could obtain through a secret code. I used it and a few years later would get my first hand-me-down phone from my parents. I downloaded Minecraft again and when asked about my skin-packs I carelessly clicked “save to device” instead of account as I was more just excited to have my first phone.
Fast forward to 2023 and I have every obtainable cape on minecraft bedrock… when I’m playing on my phone. Unfortunately whenever I try to play on another device (PC, switch, PlayStation, etc) the skins refuse to load and for years I have wished that I could make a change to that.
In this specific instance I think that if you have access to the device that you should be able to transfer it to your account.
