Day/Night Cycle

I wish there was a way to customize the day/night cycle. I've looked up how to do so, and everything I've found so far has been a little confusing and not very straightforward. I really like games where the day and night cycles match real time. I think it's neat, and it also helps me keep track of real life time if I've been playing too long.

    I agree, and here are my thoughts:

    Having a setting for day and night cycle length(s) in world customization, probably as a gamerule.

    Having a checkbox for whether day and night cycles are the same length.

    Having the ability to have daylightCycle rule be false starting at any custom time.

    Also, having the ability to customize the weather cycle probabilities (mostly rainy days, more storms, all rain, thunder and rain but never sun, etc.) would be nice, since it would probably be similar code to the daylight cycle customizations.
