why? it lost. there are a lot of mobs people really liked that lost the mob votes. it would be entirely unfair to people who voted for previous losing mobs just to put the one you liked in the game

Agreed. The majority of minecraft players are seasoned players. I suspect the sniffer's success in the vote was due to its popularity with these seasoned players who aren't so concerned with "loot" (since they already know how to get it, or already have it), but want a new challenge, even if the end goal is simply decorative plant life.

There are still newer players coming to Minecraft all the time, for whom everything is new, and finding a sniffer egg is far too challenging, with low reward. Adversely, getting loot from a rascal is extremely rewarding and helpful, and the possibility of a rascal popping up to deliver that would be great help in encouraging them to continue playing when the going gets tough.

I know a vote is democratic, but these mobs are providing different needs to different player demographics, leaving newer players a little out in the cold. Why not both mobs?

Unfortunately, it lost. I feel like if we knew the sniffer would give us two useless flowers, it would have though. I know I would have voted for the rascal, but I thought the sniffer would give a bunch of plants with different uses.

As the person above said, it would be unfair for older mob votes too.

I wish they would give us more details on mobs during the voting. Either that, or they should give us a vote using losing mobs as they've promised before.

They should. Not only for the loot. But also cause they would be considered cave villagers. Just like how the piglins are nether villagers. I’ve always wanted cave dwelling creatures in the game.

As a Sniffer voter I would likewise see the Rascal added to the game. It was a cool concept to add a new mob specifically underground. Hide and seek sounded like a fun mechanic at least. The only suggestion / improvement I would make is for it to give an enchanted diamond pickaxe; Iron is fine, but once you get diamond I feel like players wouldn't be incentivized to play with the Rascal. An alternative would be for the Rascal to provide special pickaxes, perhaps fortune 5 or some new / unique tool (mining) enchantments?
