    I'd personally prefer it if the already existing mobs had some interactions with the sniffer instead. The Minecraft ecosystem could use more of those anyways to make the feel more alive, independent of the player's actions within it.

    Maybe the Ravager or Polar Bear could attack Sniffers. They are the only mobs big enough to actually challenge a grown sniffer. Well, there is the ender dragon and ghast but those are in different dimensions.
