    This is a cool idea, but maybe a new ore would work better as glowstone already has a different use. According to Education Edition, Glowstone is radioactive. That cannot be shutdown. Now, the smae could be said for redstone torches, but I digress. I think a new ore, maybe Violetstone, would be better.

    There’s been a comment suggesting a new ore, but I disagree. It is true that Glowstone is radioactive, but that doesn’t mean it cannot be coupled with the ability to be shut down by components. In fact, whereas redstone is the coal power of the game, glowstone is the nuclear, and as such, could be much more unstable and thus more dangerous to work with. In fact, it can act as an electric fence when placed down as a border.

    Plus, Mojang has already stated that they won’t be adding a secondary means of power in the game, at least not in the usual way, so I may as well suggest this one while we’re still at it.
