When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

    They're cosmetic for balance reasons. None should have any advantages over others.

    I believe that trims should be implemented as a reforging of equipment, improving some characteristics at the expense of others.
    For example, we could reforge a sword into a saber or a sickle, changing the attack speed and damage. Or add a visor to the helmet, improving protection, but worsening visibility. Or add stiffeners to the armor, increasing strength at the expense of protection.

    If you did want to have the armor power redstone, you would need to trim each piece with a full block of redstone and be wearing the full suit. And that full suit maybe should be of the same type of trim, and maybe even all the same materiel of armor. In other words, it should be very difficult to were it would be more a luxury than a convenience.
