Yeah, Don't remove useful recipes! Totally destroys the use of an item for no reason. Bring that feature to Java instead

Totally agree. This was even added to Console Edition in TU57, meaning there will be another reason to play Legacy Console Edition instead of bedrock.

As a Java player, I don't see why we have to remove stuff for the sake of parity? I'd love to have Bedrock's old campfire mechanics and string recipe, specifically - shouldn't parity weigh more on the side of adding things instead of taking them?

I... kind of get the horse boats, and in the case of the shattered savannas I don't really think it matters that much for parity? Textural changes aren't important to have distinct - the fact that Java's grass color is different won't invalidate any tutorials or anything. For the campfires and cobwebs, however, I think we should just... add these to Java.

Yes, please bring this back. I used this the day before the update and went to use it again today and found it was removed. I'm not sure what the purpose of removing it is, but doing so made it much more difficult to get string, and also makes the cobwebs less useful. Please bring this back so that we can continue to get string as we normally could.

"The web to string recipe has been removed"?
    That's a bad idea, I don't like it.

Removing good game design from bedrock for parity is a bad move. Please, bring some features such as this to java instead. If you have an issue with the amount given from it, just change that.

Im also dissappointed in this removal. I dont play java and really dont care what it looks like or the gameplay. But removing useful features from your game is annoying. Cobwebs now serve no purpose whatsover to harvest anymore. Please return this recipe..... now
    ...right now

I JUST found this out. I found a mineshaft while exploring an ancient city and thought to myself. Wow! I’m going to be able to make some fishing rods, bows, and have plenty of string leftover for anything else, after gathering all these cobwebs. I had my shears handy. (don’t need wool since I just left an an ancient city).

    This is lame….

I'm really disappointed with the deletion of this recipe, I collected lot cobwebs in the previous version to make a lot of scaffolding, but when I played in this version the crafting string recipe was gone

Yes, please, bring that recipe back…. It’s the only practical way to have plenty of strings for dispensers…

Seriously!!!!!!!! That's bogus. Why not bring the recipe over to Java? Why ruin bedrock like that? Bring it back. Plus I'm sure Java players would like to get more than one freaking string. Seriously stop ruining bedrock.

Wow, whoever thought of this is either braindead or just want to make something harder for players for no reason. What a d*ck move.

WTH... Seriously screwed my game you made collecting webs useless to us bedrock players and made it pretty impossible to get string. With all the uses we use string for especially for scaffolding which I have lots of web for but only found one string so far in my new seed since I just recently started playing again since new update. Now I am stuck with all this web I found no string to make what I need. Thanks mojang, way to go.

Sincerely one of your grandma's who started playing cause of my grandsons.

What would be the point of having cobwebs if you couldn’t revert them into string in the first place? Why get rid of something rather than adding more things to the game.

Please put this back, I had no idea it was gone, and I have just come to use it and am completely mystified. What is the point of cobweb now! Pocket Edition on an iPad is hard enough thank you very much!

I have been searching for this answer for 2weeks, I thought it was a mobile issue.
I am very disappointed this was removed.

As a peaceful player, this is one of the ONLY way to get string. Using a sword gives one string per cobweb now. Total crap

Peaceful player also really disappointed this has been removed. If it's an issue of originally being overpowered, then why not make it so you need a couple of web to craft string.

Dear mojang, how about listening to player feedback how you promised??? Everybody hates that you removed this recipe and yet you do nothing, thank you for keeping your promise and the respect you show towards the player base's feedback.

As a peaceful player, the only way to get string is to find it in a chest or fish for it, but you need a fishing rod, which uses string, to get it. Cobwebs converting into 9 string enabled me to have string for scaffolding and building as well as crafting a loom. This is just another blow to people who play on peaceful and are restricted from obtaining items because of that. I'm really disappointed in this change.

I hate this parity = forcing Java mechanics onto bedrock. Just imagine mojang would remove a feature from Java (idk like sweeping edge) or add a bedrock mechanics that affects some farms. Impossible. Mojang was even to afraid to add snow layers to Java so they made it a toggle... bedrock never gets a toggle for any forced on feature or nerf

I just recently was able to start playing again and was very disappointed when I found out you can't make string from cobwebs anymore!! It's a very useful recipe!
