    How do posts like this ever get posted? there are 100 others asking for copper golem...

    Anyways in my opinion, if the copper golem is added, it needs more functionality for the player than a button pusher. Maybe as a tool to automate some task, its weathering mechanic adds a perfect maintenance balance to automation tasks that players would love to reduce grind. Fishing, Farming, and block breaking are 3 tasks a copper golem could do that would be a boon to players. For block breaking the golem would stand in one place and break a block put in front of it. so you'd still need a redstone system to push blocks in front of the cobblestone generator or the complex wood farms. Give it a speed around that of a gold tool and the fact you have to do maintenance at it's still useful but not OP. Fishing and farming are a bit more straight forward, using a golem to replace a farmer villager (slightly more ethical) and fishing automation can regulated by a reduce speed and increase rate of weathering (being near water) but still handy to a player.
