Keystone Species keep ecosystems alive so I think they deserve to be in Minecraft! Here are my suggestions and explanations for species!
Forests - Squirrels, spread trees seeds
Jungles - Hummingbirds, Tapir, and Agoutis! Hummingbirds: pollinate most flowers in Jungles. Tapirs and Agoutis: Transmit seeds
Mountains - Wolves, here would prevent overpopulation
Deserts - Desert Tortoises: Dig burrow homes that other animals use once they leave
Swamps - Eastern Newts: Control populations in swamps
Savannahs - Elephants: Dig up water and make paths in forests for other animals!
Badlands - Prairie Rodents: Loosen soil so new plants grow while also being a key prey animal
Beaches - Sand Crabs: Prey for many other beach animals!
Stone Shores - Ochre Sea Stars: Keep seaweed populations in check!
Rivers - Beavers: Break down dead trees near rivers, which lets new trees grow. Also, their dams make pond life flourish!
Oceans - Sea Otters and Manatees! Sea otters: Eat urchins that would otherwise destroy kelp forests. Manatees: Eat overgrown vegetation
Keystone animals already in game are Taiga wolves and salmon, Plains cows, Cherry Blossom Grove’s bees, and Snowy Tundra’s arctic foxes!
