With the introduction of Decorated Pots, this is a perfect opportunity to place two block high plants inside of them, allowing for more customisability, decoration and expression inside of player's worlds. This feature should extend to:
- Sunflowers
- Rose Bushes
- Peony
- Lilac
- Large Ferns
- Bamboo
- The new Pitcher Plant.
With the 1.20 update focusing on "creativity and self-expression", and the inclusion of the Sniffer and Ancient plants, this seems too good of an opportunity to pass up.
Furthermore, it would be interesting to play with the idea of being able to fill Decorated Pots with water. Along with a water animated texture in the hole of the pot, this might allow the player to place other plants such as: Small Dripleaf, or Sugar Cane within the Decorated Pot.
Decorated Pots drop the pots intact when mined empty-handed or with a Silk Touch tool, but when mined with other tools the pots shatter, dropping the components used to craft it. I suggest that Water Filled Decorated Pots should retain their water when mined empty handed or with a Silk Touch tool. However, when broken, Water filled pots should break into their components and release a water source block in it's place, much like the Waterlogged Mangrove Roots.
Perhaps Water Filled Pots will have other functionalities as well, such as being able to store multiple small aquatic mobs within them, such as Fish and Tadpoles, allowing players to transport larger amounts of these mobs at a time rather than using a bucket per mob.
