Octopuses to the game, they have their beaks facing downward in front of their heads making their heads resemble villagers, spawning in warm and lukewarm ocean biomes, they have a reddish orange color with darker spots, but are able to change their color and camouflage with the environment, making them harder to find, they periodically hunt fish similar to how piglins hunt hoglins, and their similarities with piglins don't end just there...

They can be bartered with using cod, salmon or tropical fish, giving aquatic related goods that can be found in fishing, ocean ruins and shipwreck loot tables, and also from the ocean itself like kelp, gravel and sand. when killed they drop ink sacks, and if tentacles ever get added as a drop from squids they would also drop these, they can even release one of them when just getting hurt.

when hurt they release ink and panic similar to squids, and even though they are similar to squid they don't move in the same way but rather a mix of swimming like aquatic mobs and propelling themselves with their tentacles like squids. they are scared of dolphins and guardians, the later attacking them on sight just like squids, and will try to hide away from them by camouflaging. due to how smart they are they can't be picked up with buckets, or they could but will eventually escape. even though they are aquatic and very slow on land they can still search for water before suffocating to death on land
