Owls

Owls could be found in the tundra and occasionally bring up loot from blocks of snow, as well as bones or gravel, or rabbit hide/foot, to simulate the owl's ability to detect prey that would be undetectable to the player. 

The tundra is a very barren land, with little appeal to it, however I believe that adding the owl to this biome would add interest as well as increase the survivability of the biome with the small amount of extra loot since this biome is often difficult to start out in.
